Non-resident Students
FIU provides students with one downloadable copy of McAfee Antivirus at a cost of $4.99 plus tax. To download your copy of McAfee, visit shoputs.fiu.edu.
Faculty and Staff
FIU offers McAfee Antivirus for FIU-owned computers via the McAfee EPO agent. To order a copy of McAfee for your FIU-owned computer, please contact UTS via the On-line Service Request system located at uts.fiu.edu, or by calling (305)348-2284.
Faculty and staff may also purchase McAfee for personal use on home computers. The cost for the downloadable copy is $4.99 plus tax. To download your personal copy of McAfee, visit shoputs.fiu.edu.
Below, you will find a list of antivirus products offered for free by various vendors. The products listed below are supported by the Clean Access Agent in use on the FIU network. Having one of them installed on your computer will allow you to sign on to the FIU network. However, UTS does not provide help or support for any of these products. Support is only provided for the university-licensed version of McAfee Antivirus described above.

Clean Access-supported Free Antivirus Products
AOL offers an antivirus product called Active Virus Shield; it is based on Kaspersky Antivirus. Although the product does not have all the features of Kasperksy Antivirus, it offers real-time protection and on-demand file and e-mail protection.
