Below are some troubleshooting steps to follow when experiencing problems with the Clean Access Agent installation.
Uninstall the Clean Access Agent
If you have a previous version of the Cisco Clean Access Agent, installing the upgrade to a newer agent should be automatic and brief. However, if the installation of a new agent produces any errors, follow the steps below:
- Uninstall the Clean Access Agent on your computer.
- Connect to the FIU network and try to access a website using your web browser.
- Log in to the FIU network and download and install the Clean Access Agent.
Although rare, certain versions of Windows might produce the error described below when trying to launch the Clean Access Agent. If you computer produces this error, follow the instructions to fix your Clean Access Agent installation.
Windows API Error "An error occurred while calling the last Windows API function. Error Number: 2146762751 Error Description: Unknown trust provider".
To fix your Clean Access Agent installation:
- Click on Start - Run or hold down the Window key on your keyboard while pressing the R key.
- Type in the commands below in the order provided. Wait until each command finishes before moving to the next command. The successful execution of the command is only reflected when the cursor returns to the command prompt. The last command could take about 30 seconds to complete.
